Thoughtful customers deliver a nice surprise

Jessica and Ben Frayne of Union Township surprised a crew working on one of PSE&G’s essential projects, when they arranged for a local restaurant to deliver them four pizzas for lunch.

While taking a walk near their home, the couple, who are working from home due to the coronavirus pandemic, saw the crew made up of PSE&G employees and contractors from Roman E&G hard at work. “We just wanted to find a way to thank them because they’re doing essential work, and we recognize and appreciate that,” Mrs. Frayne said. “My husband is an architect and has to go to job sites, so we know how hard they’re working.”

Naturally, the crew appreciated the gesture. “A delivery driver showed up with the pizzas and said some citizens in the area paid for them for us as a thank you,” Underground Construction Specialist Carmen Marretta said. “It was nice feeling appreciated.” Project Manager Jim Gravina agreed. “In times like these, it’s nice to know the public appreciates the adversities our construction crews are going through.”
