PSEG awarded 2022 Campus Forward Award for commitment to early career hiring

PSEG was recently awarded the 2022 Campus Forward Award by Ripplematch for the second year in a row. The Campus Forward Awards recognize the top early career teams and programs in the nation. The company was nominated for the award by interns that have participated in our early hiring program and rated their experience here.

Through a detailed application process, companies across various industries share their approach to recruitment, candidate experience, DE&I, and internship and entry-level programming.

“We view our interns as change-makers. They bring a fresh perspective to our work that we truly appreciate. The internship program helps drive innovation and expand the diverse talent pipeline that contributes to our Powering Progress mission,” Senior Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer and Chief Diversity Officer Sheila Rostiac said. “Receiving this award for the second year in a row shows our continued dedication in creating a meaningful experience for our interns with the hope that interns will be able to hone their skills and develop some new ones.”

Companies are evaluated on their early career hiring based on the following pillars:

  • Building an innovative and multifaceted approach to University recruiting
  • Crafting a stand-out candidate experience
  • Moving the needle on DE&I
  • Investing in an impactful internship experience

“Early career hiring is an essential part of the training and development for students that are coming out of college,” HR Senior Specialist for Campus Relations Angela Parrinello said. “It helps the students prepare and understand how to apply practical application of their scholastic achievements.”

HR Senior Specialist for Talent Acquisition Linda Johnson added, “Early career hiring has always been essential in a student’s development and our company’s growth, especially during a pandemic. Students have grown accustomed to remote learning during the past year and our teams have also had the opportunity to develop and fine tune their processes. Everyone has risen to the challenge.”
