The holidays are in full swing, and, with all the excitement, we have to be sure not to forget about safety. Check out these tips to keep your holiday cheery and safe.
Have a safe and happy holiday season!
Get a fresh tree. Make sure the needles on your tree don’t fall off easily, or buy an artificial tree that is flame resistant.
Test your lights. Test holiday lights by connecting each strand before hanging them up.
Turn off the lights. Be sure to turn off your lights before bed and when you’re not home.
Check surfaces. Place candles (e.g., menorah) on a solid, nonflammable, level surface.
Dispose of your tree properly and timely. Recycle your tree less than four weeks after putting it up.
