Individual action is the focus of this year’s America Recycles Day.
America Recycles Day is dedicated to promoting and celebrating recycling in the United States.
PSE&G has a long history of promoting recycling at company locations and job sites. In fact, last year the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection recognized PSE&G for Outstanding Achievement in Recycling.
Such acknowledgement comes for good reason. As part of our Clean Energy Future energy efficiency program, PSE&G helped customers recycle more than 1,600 older, inefficient appliances. That program continues to provide customers an opportunity to take advantage of attractive rebates while making a meaningful impact on our environment.
PSE&G Environmental Projects and Services (EPS) has created a Waste Sustainability Team that is focused on identifying sustainable alternatives to landfills and incineration. EPS also formed a recycling team dedicated to championing grassroots efforts to promote and improve recycling rates. In 2022, EPS will launch a Recycling Performance Program to help drive the success of ongoing targeted initiatives.
